Hayley: Family Night

This weekend my family and I went to the hotel and stayed there for two days and two nights. We got to do family night.

Family Night is a time when you spend time with your family. Everybody has a job. Somebody is the conductor, reader, activity person, discussion person, and the refreshments person.

My job was discussion person. The discussion person starts a discussion about something they want to talk about. I asked everybody what was their favorite season and why they liked it. My favorite season is summer because you don’t have to get snow pants, mittens, hats, boots, and a coat on if you want to go outside.

Mom was the conductor. The conductor leads the meeting. They go over highlights, which means people have to say their favorite part of the week. They also ask everyone something they learned that week. We also talk about family business and our calendar. Dad did the reading. He read us a poem about “Seize the Day.’ It means you should write a blog today, and not tomorrow. Skye chose a game to play for the activity. She chose “Apples to Apples.” Jenna picked out oatmeal cream pies and heart brownies at the store for our refreshments.

I like Family Night because we get to play “Apples To Apples“. I also like spending time with my family.

  1. That sounds like fun. I love hotels! Everything is usually clean and someone tidies up after you as well.

Summer is my least favourite season because it’s too hot!
